Ewen Ferguson will be looking to follow in the footsteps of compatriots Robert MacIntyre, Grant Forrest, Calum Hill and Connor Syme on the DP World Tour this season after finishing eighth on the 2021 Challenge Tour Road to Mallorca Rankings.
The Scot had an impressive amateur career, winning the Boys Amateur Championship at Royal Birkdale in 2013 and representing Great Britain & Ireland in the 2015 Walker Cup alongside Forrest. Ferguson won the 2014 Scottish Boys where MacIntyre was beaten in the semi-finals and the same year helped Scotland win the European Team Championship in Sweden alongside team mates Syme and Forrest.
The 25-year-old will be disappointed not to have picked up a maiden Challenge Tour title after three second place finishes, a third place and two further top tens in 2021. Despite the lack of silverware, Ferguson is much better equipped to tackle the top tier this time around after finishing in 156th position on the 2020 DP World Tour Rankings in partnership with Rolex.
