Yente van Doren earned a second promotion to the Challenge Tour in three seasons after winning the 2024 Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit.
The Belgian, who finished fifth in 2022 to gain promotion, returned to the Pro Golf League in 2024 and recorded wins in the Raiffeisen Pro Golf Tour St. Polten and the Mono Gelpenberg Open to top the Order of Merit with 27,705 points.
Joining Van Doren next year in earning promotion from the Pro Golf Tour will be countryman James Meyer de Beco, Swiss Cedric Gugler and Dutchman Aydan Verdonk, with all four players set to battle it out on the 2025 Road to Mallorca.
De Beco (25,919 points) ended the year in second place on the Order of Merit and earned automatic promotion to the Challenge Tour after recording three victories, with the third of those coming in the Stippelberg Open, the penultimate event of the season.
In doing so, De Beco became the second man to do so during the calendar year, joining fellow graduate Gugler as a three-time victor. Gugler’s three wins, in the Allegria Open, The Iron Duke Belgian Open and Gradi Polish Open by Emeralld, came in just 12 starts.
Slovakian Tadeas Tetak and Armenian Jean Bekirian ended the season third and fourth respectively on the Order of Merit, before both went on to secure DP World Tour playing privileges at Final Stage Qualifying School.
With Gugler's three wins seeing him end the year fifth on 20,750 points, 28-year-old Verdonk (14,702 points) claimed the final Challenge Tour place. After winning the NewGiza Pyramids Challenge at the start of the season, Verdonk’s sixth-place finish in the last event of the year saw him climb one place to sixth which proved crucial in ensuring his promotion.
