Brun breezes up Road to Mallorca Rankings

Julien Brun catapulted himself to second on the Road to Mallorca Rankings courtesy of his second European Challenge Tour victory at the Open de Bretagne.

The Frenchman climbed 12 places and sits on 65,890 points after he finished two shots clear of fellow countryman Jérôme Lando-Casanova and American Chase Hanna to claim his second title, nearly nine years after his first triumph which came as an amateur.

Lando-Casanova climbed 30 places to 18th on the Rankings after his runner-up finish in Brittany, while Hanna moved to sixth spot from 13th.

Santiago Tarrio remains in pole position on the Road to Mallorca Rankings on 98,598 points having picked up victories at the D+D REAL Czech Challenge and the Challenge de España. The Spaniard continued his sensational form and shared fourth place at the Open de Bretagne with Niklas Regner, who jumped 44 places to 37th place.

Wilco Nienaber sits in third place, thanks to the South African’s victory in the Dimension Data Pro-Am at Fancourt Golf Estate. The 21-year-old has a total of 57,303 points, 4,526 more points than Craig Howie who sits in fourth place.

Howie has a total of 52,777 points in the Road to Mallorca Rankings after his breakthrough victory at the Range Servant Challenge by Hinton Golf, the first event of the Swedish Swing. Daan Huizing completes the top five with 52,676 points after winning the Irish Challenge at Portmarnock Links in a thrilling play-off against Eduard Rousaud.

Oliver Bekker sits in seventh place on 46,348 points, while German Hurly Long is currently eighth on the Rankings with 43,405 points after consecutive top-ten finishes in the Spanish Swing.

Sweden’s Henric Sturehed sits in ninth place on 42,982 points following his second place finish in South Africa at the Dimension Data Pro-Am, while wire-to-wire Challenge de Cádiz champion Kristof Ulenaers sits in tenth place on 41,000 points.
