Everything you need to know from Friday in Mauritius.
Sebastian Söderberg stole the show, Peter Karmis made a spectacular eagle, Jayden Schaper got the lip out to end all lip outs and Marcel Siem was bringing the colour on day two of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
Here is everything you need to know from the second round at La Réserve Golf Links at Heritage Golf Club.
Söderberg hits the front
Söderberg will take a one-shot lead into the weekend after conquering the wind to card a 65. Conditions were much more difficult than they had been in the opening round but Söderberg had the best of them in the morning and he took advantage by carding the lowest round of the day by two shots to get to ten under. German Marcel Schneider and South African Jacques P de Villiers were the nearest challengers, one ahead of defending champion Antoine Rozner and English pair Daniel Brown and Paul Waring. "It was just one of those days where it just felt kind of easy," he said. "I'm treating this week as a chill week, a little vacation on the side so I'm just going to try and do the same. It may be harder when you're in contention but the plan is going to stay the same - I'll maybe have a couple of beers on the beach."
Some eagles are better than others
With five par fives and two driveable par fours at Heritage La Réserve Golf Club, there are going to be plenty of eagles of this week, but you might not see a better one than this. Take a bow, Peter Karmis.
Using the big ball
Some of the contours on the greens this week are pretty remarkable and none more so than at the 11th. Nicolai Kristensen was inches from taking advantage.
Parental discretion advised
In the world of professional golf, there are few things more distressing than a horseshoe. This one from Schaper is not for the faint-hearted.
That's a vicious lip-out 😫#AfrAsiaBankMauritiusOpen pic.twitter.com/7drfN8p5Qd

Siem brings the island vibes
Siem seems very much at home on Mauritius and so he should considering he lives here. That means he has a full wardrobe from which to choose his outfits and on Friday he was certainly brightening up the place.
Maybe it's his lucky pattern.........
