Marcel Schneider kept himself on track to secure his maiden win on the DP World Tour with another bogey-free round on day three of the 2025 Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand.

Here is everything you need to know from Moving Day at Gut Altentann Golf Club.

Schneider still leads after battling back

Schneider's two-shot halfway lead evaporated entirely as he opened his third round with eighth straight pars to slip from the summit. But after getting his first birdie of the day on the ninth, he never looked back, with a hat-trick of gains from the 11th handing him a healthy lead once more. There were hurdles still to come, though, as he found the bunker at the short 14th before hitting the trees with his tee-shot on the 15th but he managed to save par on both occasions before parring his way home to hold a one-shot lead over Nicolai von Dellingshausen with 18 holes remaining.

                    Söderberg's massive move

Early starter Sebastian Söderberg had some catching up to do on Saturday morning as he began the day nine shots off the lead. And he soon set about closing the gap, turning in 32 after making four birdies and one bogey. He birdied the 11th before picking up four shots in the final three holes including a closing eagle to set the early clubhouse target at ten under par. The Swede sits five shots off the lead in joint-fifth heading into the final round. He said: "It was solid. Just steady all the way and then I got really hot with the finish, four under in the last three, so I’m very happy with that."

Crowds roar on home hero Steinlechner

Maximilian Steinlechner relished being cheered on by bumper home crowds after shooting a spotless 64 on Saturday to move into contention. The 25-year-old Austrian put on a show for the enormous gallery, following up three birdies on the front nine with three more after the turn to move to nine under par. Steinlechner loved being followed by such large numbers and revealed he had never before played in front of so many people. He said: "It was really good, really fun as well with the local crowds following me throughout my round and applauding good shots. I’ve played in front of crowds before, but never that big."

Von Dellingshausen drains monster birdie putt

Von Dellingshausen made a flying start on day three, taking the lead after making four birdies on the front nine before finishing the day with an eagle to sit one behind Schneider. This 50-foot birdie putt on the eighth was well up there with his very best shots of the day.
