The DP World Tour returns to Austria for the first time in four years this week for the Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand. Here is all that players of the DP World Tour's official fantasy game need to know.
We return to Austria for the third of six events on the European Swing, the fourth of five global swings on this season's Race to Dubai.
The winner of the Swing will receive entry into all events in Phase Two of the season - the Back 9 - and a US$200,000 bonus, while there is also a place in the field at the Genesis Scottish Open up for grabs.
European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald tees it up this week alongside his in-form vice captain Edoardo Molinari and a host of players looking to fight their way onto the team.
Bernd Wiesberger, a former Ryder Cupper himself, leads the home charge, with the winners of the first two Swing events, Martin Couvra and Kristoffer Reitan, also in action.
From insight into the week’s most-picked players among Fantasy managers, to our ones to watch, we run the rule ahead of Thursday’s deadline to pick your team.
Who are the most backed players?
Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen is the highest-ranked player in the field so it is perhaps no surpise he is our most chosen player so far but at 43%, he is less than 1% ahead of of nearest challenger Jordan Smith.
Dutchman Joost Luiten comes next on 36% but once again the gap is less than 1% to the next most-picked player in Matthew Jordan.
Alex Fitzpatrick is then on 29% but in a show of how tight it could be this week, there is less than 5% between him and local hero Wiesberger in tenth.
Who are our ones to watch?
Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.
Favourite - Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen
Favourite with the bookies and favourite with the players, it's only fair that the Dane would be our favourite as well. His last full event may have been a missed cut but it was also his Major debut at the US PGA Championship and he is sure to have emerged with plenty of positive experience. He will not have to wait long for another Major either as shortly after teeing it up at Quail Hollow, he topped U.S. Open qualifying in Texas to seal his place at the fearsome Oakmont next month. Now a regular fixture in the game's upper echelons and with a runner-up finish on both sides of the Atlantic this season, his maiden DP World Tour win cannot possibly be far away.
Form Horse - Jordan Smith
Our Favourite last week, the Englishman was not far from proving us right with a tie for fourth and that impressive result sees him stay among our picks as the Form Horse. An astonishingly consistent performer, he has not missed a cut in 2025 and arrives in Salzburg off the back of three top tens on the DP World Tour. He has also emulated Neergaard-Petersen in that time, topping his own U.S. Open section at Walton Heath to earn a place at the year's second Major Championship. Smith is already a two-time DP World Tour winner and not for the the first time in his career, it feels like he could be on the brink of winning again.
Wild Card - Troy Merritt
A two-time PGA TOUR winner and not yet in his 40s, it may seem odd to have Merritt as a Wild Card but the American is currently trying to fight his way back. His last victory came in 2018 but after missing his first three cuts this season, he has now made three of his last four including a top five last time out. "I really enjoy it out here," he said. "I enjoyed it earlier in my career too, when I came over occasionally. A lot of guys don’t necessarily love coming over but I do." In Merritt we have a man who is determined, happy in his surroundings and finding confidence in his results. Add in that winning pedigree and he has to be one to watch.

Looking back - Soudal Open
Reitan himself described his win last week as "ridiculous" which perhaps gives a hint as to why he featrued in only 2.25% of teams - winning those who picked him 204 points.
As mentioned earlier, our Favourite from last week Smith had a good event with a tie for fourth, while our Form Horse Couvra missed the cut and Wild Card Matthew Southgate finished 64th.
