Clutch putts took Connor Syme clear at the top, Jip Wagemans Beat the Pro and the weather made its presence felt again on day three of the 2025 KLM Open.
Here is everything you need to know from Saturday's play at The International in Amsterdam.
Syme comes up clutch
Leader Syme was bogey-free for the day and while birdies at the closing two holes ensured his overnight advantage, the highlight of his round came early on with this monster eagle putt at the third:
The first of his three birdies wasn't bad either...
Riding the waves
For Syme, who leads Joakim Lagergren by two shots and the rest of the field by six, this week has been a return to top form after what he admits has been a difficult season. Last week's Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand was the first cut the 29-year-old had made since a top-ten finish at the Joburg Open in March and he said after Saturday's round in Amsterdam: "Golf's so difficult and sometimes you're going to have to ride the waves of it a little bit. I've been going through a spell of not scoring great but this week's... been better."
Remember the name...
Sponsor KLM has been running a Beat the Pro challenge at the 11th hole this week and Saturday brought our first winner. Jip Wagemans only took up the game three months ago but you wouldn't have known it from this effort!
Inci Mehmet, part of the DP World Tour commentary team, also tried her luck against the leading group of Syme, Lagergren and Ricardo Gouveia. Her colleagues in the box were on tenterhooks but Inci was just edged out by Syme - no shame in that, as the Scot went on to hole the birdie putt seen above and claim a share of the tournament lead. Speaking at the following hole, Inci said: "This is much better, familiar territory with a mic in my hand rather than a golf club! I've got to admit I was pretty nervous, shaking after the shot." A fine effort nevertheless Inci - and congratulations Jip!
Where's Pierre?
Pierre Pineau took an unconventional route to his par at the fourth...

Sunday schedule shifts
The International has held up admirably as delays due to the weather have been a familiar factor this week. After breaks on Thursday due to the threat of lightning and Friday for "oscillating balls" in the high winds, forcing a handful of players to complete their second rounds on Saturday morning, a waterlogged course saw round three tee off some four hours later than scheduled. Sunday's play has been brought forward and will be conducted in groups of three, off two tees, due to winds which are set to top 30mph again - prepare for another stop-start day.
We love you Richie, we do
Syme is not the only Scot in the leading group this week - this fine approach to the 14th set up a birdie for Richie Ramsay and helped him stay in touch at four under par. His efforts were rewarded at the final hole as a group of well-lubricated local fans greeted another good approach with loud cheers and chants of "We love you Richie, we do!"
