We are delighted to be back at the world-class Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates, where fifty of the world’s best golfers will compete in a sensational season-ending finale of the Race to Dubai.
It’s been an exciting time for us at DP World; at the start of October, we unveiled our new visual identity and brand positioning. Our new brand identity embodies our mission to enable trade around the world and keep it flowing, whilst creating and embracing the latest technologies and innovations.
Additionally, we are committed to growing the game of golf globally and driving positive community impact. Therefore, from the start of the 2022 season, we will be the title partner of the European Tour, which will become the DP World Tour. This announcement is game-changing, not just for our partners at the European Tour and the sport of golf, but also for our business – and we can’t wait to get started.
We are passionate about growing the game of golf, and this weekend will also see the return of the European Disabled Golf Association Dubai Finale. The EDGA Dubai Finale, held on the Earth Course on Friday and Saturday, will be a spectacular showcase of golfing talent, given the quality of the players in the field.
DP World is dedicated to inclusion, diversity, and driving sustainable economic growth that positively impacts society and creates a better future for everyone. We recognise that we cannot achieve this alone; success will only be possible through collaboration.
I would like to conclude by thanking everyone who makes the 13th edition of the DP World Tour Championship possible: our employees, customers, players, spectators, volunteers, partners, and Dubai’s frontline workers.
It’s great to have fans back, and I wish everyone attending the tournament or watching it from home an enjoyable week.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman and CEO
