A wild 24 hours for co-leader Michael Stewart, a hole out from the Ryder Cup Captain and some entertaining drives on 17 from Gareth Bale and Piers Morgan.
Here's what you missed from the opening round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
From Tartan Pro to Dunhill Links lead...
Scotland's Michael Stewart may just have one of the most remarkable opening round stories at this year's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
After finishing second at the Tartan Pro Tour event on Wednesday in Duddingston, the Scot travelled to the Alfred Dunhill Links and posted a 65 at Carnoustie to hold a share of the first round lead.

Buchanan holds share of the lead
Fellow co-leader, Jack Buchanan, is seeking his own turn around of fortunes.
The 24-year-old comes into this event after back-to-back missed cuts, but matched Stewart's bogey-free 65 with one of his own at Kingsbarns.
"It's been a bit of a struggle this year," he said "Kind of missed a few cuts by one. I definitely feel like I'm becoming a better player before it starts to click a little bit.
"Last week I felt like my iron play was good and struggled off the tee but was in play off the tee today. So I was able to take advantage of that."

25 Not Out
Padraig Harrington is the only player to have teed up in all 24 previous editions of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, lifting the title in both individual and team events in 2002 and 2006.
He extended that unbroken run to 25 on Thursday, while Sir Steve Redgrave extended the same record on the amateur side of the competition.

Speaking of good shots...
Here are some of the best from the opening round of the Alfred Dunhill Links, from Danny Willett and Michael Vaughan.
And the not so pretty...
While there were plenty of impressive amateur highlights, there were also two celebrities who came up against the difficult Road Hole at the Old Course, with very different outcomes.
