All to Play For: Casey Jarvis breathes life into Race to Dubai bid at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Casey Jarvis gave his bid to be crowned the 2026 Race to Dubai champion a much-needed boost with a tie for second at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The South African's back-to-back wins as February turned to March followed by a runner-up finish at the Joburg Open established him as a contender early in the season but he has not had it all his own way since.

He has missed as many cuts as he has made and was in danger of drifting too far from the contenders, with just six events remaining at the start of last week.

Three rounds in the 60s at Kingsbarns, Carnoustie and over the Old Course at St Andrews handed him a two-shot lead in Scotland, however, and while he carded a disappointing closing 74, he still walked away with 433.50 points.

That leaves him fourth on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World, and now less than 1,000 points behind leader Patrick Reed.

While Jarvis was making big move at the top, others were bustling their way into the top 70 and a place at the DP World Tour Play-Offs.

Niklas Nørgaard was on track to lose his card towards end of August but he finished second at the Husqvarna British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo and another runner-up finis alongside Jarvis has moved him up to 36th.

The man who finished above that duo in Scotland, Adrian Meronk, jumped 103 places to 38th with his victory and is now also safely UAE-bound.

This week we head to Spain for our final national open of the season at the Open de España presented by Madrid.

Home hero Eugenio Chacarra currently sits third in the Rankings and in the mix for the big prize, and his points tally has already comfortably exceeded that needed to secure dual membership with the PGA Tour on last season's Rankings.

He may not be the only Spaniard heading across the Atlantic, though, and a whole host of home heroes will be scrapping for vital points at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

Nacho Elvira is currently one spot outside dual membership, with Angel Ayora, David Puig, Angel Hidalgo, Manuel Elvira and Jorge Campillo all inside the top 50 and within 450 points of Joe Dean in the final berth.

There are currently no Spaniards playing on the PGA Tour but it is all to play for to change that over the next six weeks.
