The Englishman was eight shots behind the leaders when he came back to complete his third round on Sunday and still seven back heading into the final round.
He then prodiced a brilliant bigey-free 63 to gget to 14 under and seal an ultimately comfortable victory with wife Emily on the bag.
Finishing over 90 mnutes before the final group, he faced a long and anxious wait to see if he had sealed his maiden victory and admitted he was thinking more about his playing privileges than the win on Sunday morning.
"My goal today was to basically try and shoot under par as well as possible," he said. "I'll be honest, winning weren't anywhere in my thoughts but just trying to get inside the top 15 to just get enough points to keep me safe for next year."
He entered the week 74th on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World but jumps to 13th, with his playing privileges and place in the top 70 and Play-Offs easily secured.
Not only that but s now in position to take the final dual membership with the PGA TOUR available via the Rankings.
Jacob Skov Olesen and Daniel Hillier also made big moves a The Belfry, moving from 16th and 20th to tenth and 11th respectively.
The other big mover was Niklas Nørgaard, who went from being in danger of losing his card at 111th to inside the Play-Off mark at 62nd after a tie for second.
