Seve Benson and Alejandro Cañizares swapped positions at the top of the leaderboard as the second round of the Trophée Hassan II began in Morocco.
Cañizares held a one shot lead over Benson after a stunning 62 at Golf du Palais Royal in Agadir, the Spaniard carding 11 birdies and one bogey despite playing in the windier afternoon conditions.
Benson, who was named after the late five-time Major winner Seve Ballesteros, was equally impressive as he carded a flawless 63 and the 27 year old continued where he left off on Friday morning.
Birdies at the fourth and fifth took Benson to 11 under par, one ahead of Cañizares who remained ten under after following a birdied on the first with a shot on the second.
Fellow Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello was two shots further back on eight under after an explosive start to his round, an eagle on the tenth - his first hole - being followed by birdies on the 13th and 14th.
Sweden's Magnus A Carlsson and Northern Ireland's Michael Hoey were another shot adrift, Hoey picking up a birdie on the tenth and then an eagle on the 15th.
Benson dropped his first shot of the tournament on the eighth to fall back to ten under par and allow Cañizares to reclaim the lead with a birdie from five feet on the tenth.
Cabrera-Bello had picked up further shots on the 15th and 18th to cover the back nine in just 30 shots and joined Benson in second place, with Carlsson a shot behind after birdies on the tenth and 11th.
