Davis Bryant slams one in, Kiradech Aphibarnrat hates one and loves another and a local amateur makes the weekend.
Everything you need to know from the second round at Golfclub München Eichenried.
Bryant stars in Munich
American Davis Bryant soared to the top of the leaderboard thanks to a scintillating 63 to carve open a two-shot lead at the halfway stage. He provided one of the biggest cheers when he aced the 12th hole, his third, and added nine birdies and two dropped shots to record the lowest round of the tournament so far. "It was probably up there with Q School final round where I shot 62, nine under," he said. "I don’t really know what happened today. I think the ace kind of jumpstarted things. It was just one shot at a time, to be honest. We had a lot of really good numbers, full-stock shots, which is nice. Controlling your numbers and spin is key with soft greens, and like I said, today I just fell on a lot of good numbers. Golf’s fun when that happens."

Lucky number 12
Leader Bryant, on 12 under par, wrote his name in the 2025 DP World Tour campaign record books with a hole-in-one at the 12th. The 25-year-old only needed to use his nine iron for the par-three hole to record the 12th ace of the season. He said: "I was talking to my caddie, we’ve been close all year to getting one, so that’s always cool when it happens. I’m just super proud of the execution, sticking to my process."
The eagle has landed
Kiradech Aphibarnrat produced the shot of the day on the opening hole with this stunning bunker shot. Absolutely brilliant.
He hates it... but it drops
The Thai then looked disgusted with his birdie effort at the sixth, but it somehow sneaked into the cup.

Easy as it Siems
Home favourite Marcel Siem only reached the red numbers thanks to a superb approach into the last for an eagle on Thursday. The German took full advantage with a flawless second round 66, which included another eagle at the 18th, courtesy of another fairway wood to close range. The 44-year-old sits five off the lead at seven under par.
Local amateur makes weekend
Tim Wiedemeyer, a 20-year-old local amateur, produced a brilliant back nine in his second round to catapult up the leaderboard for a tie of 15th. Starting the day at level par and on the back nine, he swapped a birdie at the 11th with a bogey at the 17th before his birdie blitz caught fire. The German picked up a shot at the 18th, first and third, with a hat-trick from the fifth sealing a fantastic 66 and two more rounds at Golfclub München Eichenried.
