The 22-year-old has enjoyed the best fortnight of his career after becoming the second player to claim back-to-back triumphs on the DP World Tour this season, following in the footsteps of fellow South African Jayden Schaper.

His breakthrough came at last week's Magical Kenya Open presented by absa and he backed that up with another three-shot success at Stellenbosch Golf Club on Sunday.

For the first time in the event's history, the winner was given an exemption into the Masters Tournament, while the top three earned their place at the 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

As a result, Jarvis will make his maiden appearances at the first and last Majors of the year.

"It's been a dream of mine since I was a kid to play at Augusta," he said in his post-victory interview.

"I thought about it this morning, I tried not to but it was hard not to think about it, but I cannot wait to go there and see how my game compares to the best players in the world."

There was a three-way tie for second, meaning only the final two spots for this year's Open were available to the players with the highest Official World Golf Rankings.

Hennie du Plessis, who chipped in for birdie at the 17th to cut Jarvis' advantage to two, found the water with his approach into the final green and carded a bogey, cruelling missing out due to his lower placing to Francesco Laporta and Frederic Lacroix.

Italian Laporta, who spent three years on the Sunshine Tour, described South Africa as his "second home" and he will be grateful for his adopted country after earning his first Major appearance in Southport.

Lacroix carded an eagle, five birdies and a double bogey in his final-round 65 to reach under 11 as he was the beneficiary from Du Plessis' late bogey. The Frenchman will make his second start at a Major after appearing at the 2025 U.S. Open Championship.
