Coetzee continues good form

George Coetzee turned in a four under par 33 to move into a two shot lead during the second round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

The 25 year old, who has impressed on The European Tour this season to sit 26th on The Race to Dubai despite still seeking a maiden victory, eagled the long 13th before picking up birdies at the 15th and 18th.

That put him ten under par, and with overnight leaders Seve Benson and Jbe Kruger not out until later, two clear of the field.

Benson was surrounded by South Africans, with Jaco Van Zyl and David Hewan moving to shared fourth on seven under par.

The day’s biggest move came from another of the home contingent – Bryce Easton birdieing six holes out of seven from the second to turn in 29 and climb into a tie for sixth with Jean-Baptiste Gonnet, Alan McLean and George Murray.
