The Greens are a mixture of bent poa anua and fescu grasses and are built to USGA spec
Fairways
The undulating fairways are an average width of 25 yds
Rough
Intermediate 1.5 inches 2 widths
Semi rough 2.5 inches 4 widths
UNmaintained rough is severe
Greens
Mostly gradual undulations and should be stimping at around 10 feet by thursday
Course Details
The course will be playing it's full length of 7060 yds. The fairways are also quite soft due to recent rain. The name of the course changed from the MOnarchs course to the PGA Centenary course in 2001 and will host the Ryder Cup in 2014.
Course Layout
Driving is important although the fairways are quite generous. Holes 2 and 5 have water very much in play. The wind strength also plays a big part in the level of difficulty as the course is quite exposed.
