Course
Hilversumsche Golf Club is a traditional woodland/heathland course. It shouldn' play long as it has been dry lately and i't be bouncy as the Fairways have been watered daily.
A new Tee has been built on hole 16 adding 39 metres to its length bringing the Fairway bunkers back into play.
Grasses
Greens: 70% Bent and 30% Poa Annua
Tees: Bent and Rye
Fairways: Smooth Stalk Meadow Grass and Bent
Rough: Rye Grass
Fairways
Fairways are fairly wide but there is a penalty for wayward Tee shots as it is a tree-lined course. Fairways are being cut at 11mm.
Rough
Semi-rough: 1 band (1 machine width) cut at 35mm.
Rough: 1 band of maintained rough (1 machine width) cut at 64mm.
The rest of the rough is unmaintained.
Greens
The Greens are in very good condition and were running at 10.2 on Tuesday. We expect to get them over 10.6 by Thursday. They are quite firm at present.
