Great golf course design by Jose Maria Olazabal, with all renovation made by him . Very long golf course with 2 very long par 3s and 9 lakes. A lot of shots over water to some really tight pin positions, 3 doglegs left and 2 doglegs right. Real Club de Golf de Sevilla will host the World Cup of Gold in November this year. Great Club with all type of facilities. All renovation finished 5 weeks ago. First Course in Europe to have "The green encroachment barrier system" which protect the greens from invasion of other grasses.

Greens - Bentgrass mixed with Poa
Greens extended with pure bentgrass producing different texture and colour but not affecting roll of ball.
Fairways
Average fairways (around 35 yards wide) with mounds on the sides.
Not a lot of tress on the rough
Rough
1 band of semirough at 20 mm.
The rough is at 64 mm.
Grass coming from dormant period (Bermuda)
Greens
Most of the greens have been redesigned with some extensions. Greens are now closer to the lakes with very tough pin positions. Tournament speed at 10.6
