The Road to Mallorca returns to Czechia for the D+D REAL Czech Challenge at Royal Beroun Golf Club. Here are three players to keep an eye on this week…
Form Horse: Maximilian Steinlechner
Austrian Maximilian Steinlechner arrives at Royal Beroun Golf Club fresh off sealing a memorable maiden victory on home soil at the Interwetten Open. The 25-year-old’s five under par final round of 64 saw him finish at 21 under par for the week, two shots clear of Italian Filippo Celli.
Steinlechner’s triumph at Schladming-Dachstein Golf Club wasn’t a one off, however. The Austrian has been one of the HotelPlanner Tour’s most consistent performers in 2025 and has finished inside the top 20 on five occasions. With the 25-year-old now third on the Road to Mallorca Rankings, he will certainly fancy his chances of climbing further before the season’s close.
Local Boy: Filip Mruzek
Czech favourite Filip Mruzek will make his first HotelPlanner Tour appearance since finishing in solo fourth at last month’s Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge. The 33-year-old, who captured his maiden victory on the Pro Golf Tour back in March, pieced together an impressive final round charge at Golf Resort Kaskáda to finish seven shots back of runaway winner, Palmer Jackson.
With Mruzek 62nd on the Road to Mallorca Rankings, another impressive performance in his home country would boost his chances of earning full HotelPlanner Tour status next year.
Outsider: Jovan Rebula
South African Jovan Rebula is coming off a tied third finish at the Interwetten Open in what was his best HotelPlanner Tour outing of 2025 to date. A six under par final round of 63 moved Rebula to within three shots of the winning total and alongside his compatriot JC Ritchie and Frenchman Oihan Guillamoundeguy on 18 under par for the week.
Now, back in Czechia, Rebula will be looking to improve on his tied 18th finish at the Raffeisenbank Golf Challenge, having also held the first round lead at Golf Resort Kaskáda.
