• The Fiji International is be played on the European Tour International Schedule for the first time in 2016.
• The Fiji International is the fourth new official event of the 2016 season, following the Australian PGA Championship, Maybank Championship Malaysia and the King’s Cup presented by the PTT Group.
• Fiji is the 42nd different country to host a European Tour event.
• The Natadola Bay course held the Fiji Open in 2009 and 2010.
• The Fiji International is the first event this season to be tri-sanctioned with the Asian and PGA Tour of Australasia, this season.
