The field for the WGC-Andersen Consulting Match Play will be 64 players, comprising the top 64 available players from the Official World Rankings as of Monday, February 14, 2000.
Note :
(i) The next 3 available players will be official travelling alternates up until the release of the first round draw on Monday evening, February 21. After this time, any withdrawals will result in a walkover for the paired opponent.
(ii) Any ties in the qualifying or alternate ranking positions wll be broken by the following criteria in order :
(a) Total World Ranking points earned in the 52 week period leading up to Monday, February 14, 2000;
(b) Position of tied players in the Final 1999 World Money List.
