The field will comprise of :
(a) 65 players as determined by the Asian PGA Tour
(b) The top 65 entries from the 2000 PGA European Tour Category Ranking List.
(c) 8 players (including amateurs) as determined by the Malaysian Golf Association
(d) 10 players as determined by the Malaysian PGA
(e) 2 sponsors invitations
Note - Asian players who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be entered through (a) above. Players from outside Asia who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be entered through (b) above.
