Entry Eligibility

The following will qualify to play in the Tournament:

1. Winners of the Open Golf Championship for the last 10 years (1992-2000)

1. The current United States Masters Champion

3 The current United States Open Champion

1. The current United States PGA Champion

1. The current Japan Open Champion

1. The current Australian Open Champion

1. Winners of Volvo Order of Merit tournaments, decided during the period 9th August 1999-3rd August 2000

1. Playing Members of the 1999 European Ryder Cup Team

1. The leader of the 1999 PGA Tour of Japan Order of Merit

1. The loeader of the 1999/2000 PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit

1. The leader of the 2000 Asian PGA Order of Merit as at 30th June 2000

1. The leading 20 players in the current Volvo Order of Merit after the Open Golf Championship, providing the top 20 from the final 1999 Volvo Order of Merit are qualified

1. Any 8 players nomianted by the Sponsors in agreement with the PGA European Tour

1. The leading players from the PGA European Tour Category Ranking List to make up the field, including 8 from the top 25 of the Swedish PGA Order of Merit.
