Entry Eligibility

The field will consist of 156 professionals.

Eligibility :

1. The leading 72 players from the PGA European Tour 2000 Category Ranking List

1. The leading 72 players from the PGA European Challenge Tour 2000 Category Ranking List

1. The leading 4 Irish professionals from the top 25 of the Irish National Order of Merit 1999, not otherwise exempt in 1. or 2. above.

1. Seven invitation places

Note : Players at all times will be ranked in their higher category, with the European Tour Category Ranking List taking precedence over the European Challenge Tour Category Ranking List.
