Expanded entertainment options set to complement world-class golf at Genesis Scottish Open

Spectators can experience the Genesis Scottish Open like never before with an ever-expanding range of entertainment options, including the Sixth Hole Stadium Experience - featuring the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Korea courtesy of title partner Genesis - and the vibrant Fringe by the Tee festival.

The sixth hole at the Renaissance Club has become renowned as one of the must-go spots for fans during Scotland’s national open, and the Sixth Hole Stadium Experience returns for a second year with even more on offer for all the family amongst the high energy and fun atmosphere.

The short par three is fully enclosed with grandstands, screens and platforms, and this year includes a new children’s viewing area, an expanded Ticket+ offering and a Genesis public lounge, featuring a TGL simulator.

During the Wednesday pro-am, young fans will once again have the chance to walk the hole with some of the stars of the event and even get the chance to hole a putt.

From Thursday’s first round onwards, the fun-filled atmosphere continues, with the highlight being the hole-in-one competition. If a fan correctly predicts the first player to shoot a hole-in-one on the sixth hole, the player will win a Genesis GV60, while the fan will win a VIP experience at the Genesis Championship in Korea, including business class return flights and accommodation.

Fans can enter the competition online or on site at the Genesis Scottish Open. For more information, and to enter online click here.

Over in the Fan Zone, the highlight will be the return of Fringe by the Tee – a collaboration with the local Fringe by the Sea festival – as KT Tunstall, the Grammy-nominated, Brit Award-winning artist, brings her electrifying live show to the Genesis Scottish Open on Saturday, July 12.

Known for her soulful voice, dynamic stage presence, and pioneering loop pedal performances, Tunstall has captivated audiences worldwide with hits like Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See. Her headline set marks a major milestone for the tournament, as a performer of her stature takes centre stage at the event for the first time.

From toe-tapping tunes to side-splitting comedy and magical moments, the Fringe by the Tee pop-up stage will offer something for everyone, including two crowd favourites – comedian Fred MacAulay and legendary author-turned DJ Irvine Welsh.

MacAulay will once again host his much-loved daily slots, entertaining fans with sharp wit, warm conversation, and the occasional surprise guest, while Welsh will headline Friday’s line-up with a DJ set that’s bound to get the weekend started in style.

A host of acts will add to the fun, and it’s not just for grown-ups - families can catch the always-popular Alexander the Great, an award-winning entertainer delivering circus skills, party games, disco dancing, and plenty of magic for the kids (and grown-up kids too).

Other highlights of the Fan Zone include Mini Golf and Long Putt experiences - raising money for The Renaissance Club Foundation - while fans can also buy a limited edition tartan range from J. Lindeberg, worn by ambassadors such as Viktor Hovland and Mathieu Pavon, and gain access to the J.L Clubhouse hospitality facility on the Sixth Hole by spending £100 or more in the Merchandise Store.

And as part of the DP World Tour’s Green Drive sustainability programme, the Genesis Scottish Open will be championing golf’s close links with nature. Spectators who would like to learn more about the natural environment that surrounds the Renaissance Club on Scotland’s stunning golf coast can take part in a nature trail, with an accompanying scavenger hunt for children.

Rory Colville, Genesis Scottish Open Championship Director, said: “We are proud of how the Genesis Scottish Open has grown in stature over the years, and that includes the exciting package of entertainment for all the family.

“The Sixth Hole Stadium Experience is undoubtedly the place to be to take in the action in a fun-filled environment, while the Fan Zone including the Fringe by the Tee stage offers the perfect place to enjoy some time outside of the ropes. We’re also delighted to help fans to take in every inch of the spectacular Renaissance Club venue with our nature trail and scavenger hunt.”

This year’s Genesis Scottish Open will feature all of the top five, eight of the top ten and 13 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, including all four current Major champions - Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and JJ Spaun - and defending champion and home hero Robert MacIntyre.

The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, counting on both the Race to Dubai Rankings and the FedExCup, and boasts Genesis, the luxury automotive brand from South Korea, as title sponsor. Genesis title-sponsor the Genesis Championship on the Race to Dubai and two tournaments on the PGA TOUR’s 2025 schedule, with the Genesis Scottish Open following The Genesis Invitational in February, won by European Ryder Cup star Åberg.

The event benefits from the continued commitment of the Scottish Government and VisitScotland, and retains its place in golf’s global calendar the week ahead of The Open as part of these agreements through to 2025.
