Ewen Ferguson has been crowned August Golfer of the Month presented by DP World after receiving a huge 61.8% of the public vote.

The Scotsman, who finished 8th on the Road to Mallorca Rankings to graduate from the Challenge Tour In 2021, has had a season to remember.. After picking up his maiden DP World Tour title in Qatar in March, the 26-year-old won his second event of the season at the ISPS Handa World Invitational presented by AVIV Clinics in fine style.

After firing an opening round 61, Ferguson lead wire-to-wire carding rounds of 70-68-69 to finish on 12-under par, edging out close friend Connor Syme by three shots in Northern Ireland. The victory moved him into the top-20 of the DP World Tour Rankings in what has been a breakthrough season.

Second in the voting was Thriston Lawrence, who also claimed his second DP World Tour title of the season in a play-off at the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in the Swiss Alps. The South African fired rounds of 62-64-67-69 to finish on 18-under par and tie with Englishman Matt Wallace as the pair faced off in the two-horse race on Sunday. Lawrence would eventually prevail with a par at the first play-off hole with the win taking him into the top-10 of the DP World Tour Rankings.

Callum Shinkwin finished third with his win at the Cazoo Open to go alongside his win at the 2020 Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Open. The Englishman took a one-shot lead heading into the final round as a jam packed leaderboard looking to close him down. Shinkwin struggled out of the gates but three birdies in a row on the front nine steadied the ship and would eventually come home in even par to win by a single shot.

Finally, Max Kieffer won his first DP World Tour title at the weather affected D+D Real Czech Masters. Having held full status since 2013, the German's win came in his 249th Tour start in what has been a long journey through the DP World Tour and not finishing in the top-50 of the rankings.
