Tommy Fleetwood has been crowned July Golfer of the Month presented by DP World after receiving 44% of the public vote.

The Englishman made two start starts in July, his first at the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick where he recovered from a first round 73 to post a fourth-place finish in the first full co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and the PGA TOUR. After a slow start, the 31-year-old would go on the post rounds of 69-66-67 in the firm and windy conditions in East Lothian.

Building on that finish, Fleetwood arrived at St Andrews for The 150th Open Championship chasing his maiden Major title.. Like the week prior, the Old Course was  a firm and fast challenge for the final Major of the season. Opening with an even par 72, Fleetwood again fought back, playing the final three rounds in 14-under par to finish in a tie for fourth.

Richie Ramsay, who ended a seven-year winless drought with his win at the Cazoo Classic, was voted second. The Scotsman was no stranger to Hillside Golf Club  and had this event marked on his schedule after a fifth place finish back in 2019 at the Betfred British Masters hosted by Tommy Fleetwood.

Trailing Frenchman Julien Guerrier by a shot, Ramsay carded a final round 69 with a six-foot par putt on the 18th to take the title and claim an emotional victory.

Sean Crocker was voted third after winning his maiden DP World Tour title at the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews. The American opened with a 63 in round one and never looked back as he went on to claim a wire-to-wire victory on 22-under-par.

Rounding off the voting was Ryder Cup star Alex Noren. The Swede narrowly missed out on qualifying for The Open  and took the opportunity to play in the opposite field event at the Barracuda Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Weekend rounds of 66 and 65 were good enough for a solo second place finish.
