Paul Casey birdied the first two holes of his final round of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship to further extend his lead.
The 31 year old Englishman began his round as he did his third round 63 with a three and a four to reach 21 under par, a six shot advantage over his nearest challenger.
Four players were chasing The Ryder Cup star on 15 under – defending champion Martin Kaymer, playing in the final pairing with Casey, had been joined by Swedish duo Johan Edfors and Peter Hanson, who were three under for the round, and Anthony Wall who was two under for the day after three holes.
Earlier Scotland’s Paul Lawrie and his Irish namesake Peter had set the clubhouse target at 12 under, but Casey looked like he was set to comfortably clear that score.
