As the home of golf, it is a pleasure to welcome the world’s best golfers and golf fans to Scotland for the Genesis Scottish Open.
Part of a stellar summer of major golf events taking place across the country this year, the Genesis Scottish Open has another outstanding field, reflecting the tournament’s history and its prestigious place in the global golf calendar.
Returning to the Renaissance Club in East Lothian on Scotland’s Golf Coast for the fourth consecutive year, the course will again prove a fitting test for the players and wonderful venue for spectators to enjoy.
Scotland is a world-leading tourism and events destination, and the tournament is the perfect stage to showcase our wonderful culture and spectacular beauty to audiences around the world, which I hope will then be inspired to come and experience all we have to offer.
