Argentina's Ricardo Gonzalez birdied the second and fifth holes to move into the early second round lead at the SAS Masters in Malmo.
The 39 year old, three times a winner on The European Tour but struggling down in 153rd place on The Race to Dubai this season, improved to seven under par.
That was one ahead of England's Lee Slattery, who after his opening six under 67 was among the day's later starters.
Pre-tournament favourite Henrik Stenson lost further ground, however, when he resumed with a bogey five on the tenth.
At one over par World Number Seven Stenson, who is donating his prize money to his new worldwide charitable Foundation, was not even sure to make anything.

Another Swede, Martin Erlandsson, moved into joint third place with Gonzalez's fellow countryman Tano Goya on five under, while Scot Richie Ramsay joined the group one further back thanks to a birdie on the second.
