Denmark's Jeppe Huldahl sank a bunker shot as he took over at the top from Australian Marcus Fraser after six holes of the final round at the SAS Masters in Malmo.
The unexpected bonus came on the short fourth and brought last month's Celtic Manor Wales Open champion level with Fraser, who then bogeyed the 448 yard sixth.
They were eight under par and seven under respectively, while joint third were Welshman Jamie Donaldson, England's Marcus Higley and Swede Martin Erlandsson.
When Huldahl made birdie to Fraser's bogey on the long ninth, his lead leapt to three strokes and he was on course to continue an amazing sequence.
Before winning at The Celtic Manor Resort the 27 year old had missed the cut in his three previous starts - and he also missed it in his three last events coming into this week.
Fraser was still second on his own at six under, one ahead of Donaldson, Higley, halfway leader Ricardo Gonzalez and American Nathan Smith, who started the tournament with a triple bogey seven after receiving a two shot penalty for being late on the tee.
