Longest hole up for Laureus award

Some of the most challenging holes in golf can be found on courses ranging from Carnoustie to Valderrama, Augusta National to Pretoria Country Club.

Adam Rolston and Ron Rutland are for the Laureus Best Sporting Moment Award

However, none pose the same kind of challenge that Adam Rolston and his caddie Ron Rutland took on when they travelled to Mongolia for the longest hole in golf.

Rolston and Rutland travelled 2,013km across the country from Western Mongolia's highest peak to its only recognised golf course in a fundraising mission that took 80 days and required 20,094 shots.

The duo's efforts have been recognised by the Laureus World Sports Academy for their Best Sporting Moment Award, which acknowledges fair play, sportsmanship and dedication.
