Italian duo Matteo Manassero and Edoardo Molinari will look to claim their first European Tour wins on home soil at The Rocco Forte Open, Verdura - Sicily in the company of Richard Bland when play begins on Thursday.
Manassero will be searching for a fifth European Tour title when he tees off at 08.30 alongside compatriot Molinari, who won the Trophée Hassan II last month.
Bland enjoyed his finest year on tour in 2016, earning seven top tens, and will hope to secure his first of this season at Verdura Resort.
Last week’s Open de Portugal at Morgado Resort winner Matt Wallace will tee off alongside former Ryder Cup player Nicolas Colsaerts at 13.25 from the first tee.
Wallace, who won in just his fourth European Tour start, and Colsaerts will be joined by promising home favourite Renato Paratore.
The 2018 European Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn will partner James Morrison and Australia’s Andrew Dodt at 08.40, with the experienced trio of Jamie Donaldson, Raphäel Jacquelin and David Howell beginning their tournaments twenty minutes later.
While another home hopeful Nino Bertasio will tee off alongside Rikard Karlberg and Li Haotong at 08.50, the exciting young group of Haydn Porteous, Matthew Southgate and Alexander Björk start at 12.55.
