Paul Peterson opened up a one-shot lead with three holes to play in round three of the weather-delayed ISCO Championship before play was suspended at Hurstbourne Country Club.
The 2016 D+D Real Czech Masters champion started a day that saw two separate lightning delays six shots behind runaway leader Chan Kim but by the time sunset saw play stopped, he had edged ahead of him at ten under thanks to seven birdies and two bogeys in 15 holes.
Fellow American Kim had just bogeyed the 11th and 12th to slip to two over for the day when the hooter sounded, with both players seeking a first PGA TOUR win.
The event features a field of PGA TOUR and DP World Tour members as part of the Strategic Alliance between both tours, with 50 DP World Tour members, featuring a mix of seasoned stars and emerging talent from the HotelPlanner Tour and Qualifying School, teeing it up.
England's Callum Terren was leading that charge at four under, one over for the day having completed 15 holes.
American Luke List was the clubhouse leader at seven under after carding a bogey-free 65, with Englishman David Skinns alongside him with three holes to complete.
"I'm just playing solid," said List. "I mean, I think I took advantage of the par fives. There's only two of them, so birdieing those the last couple of days helped.
"Just no bogeys the last two days so that's good around here. Just managing my game a little bit, hit a few more fairways. First I didn't drive it very well and that's really tricky out here if you miss fairways, so I drove it a little bit better the last two days."
Norway's Kris Ventura and American Vince Whaley were at six under, a shot clear of German Thomas Rosenmueller and American trio Trevor Cone, Beau Hossler and Patrick Fishburn.
