Lucas Bjerregaard romped to a resounding four shot victory at the Portugal Masters, claiming his first European Tour title with a 20 under par total.
Here, we take a look at what his closest challengers had to say after their fourth rounds.
Marc Warren (67, -16)
“I didn't look at the leaderboards. I knew the middle of the back nine Lucas was a few in front, so just trying to finish as best as I could. You know, trying not to go chasing it, stay patient.
“Once I birdied 15, parred 16, I was just trying to finish well on the last two. Hit absolutely perfect shots and finished off with a putt on 17 and just couldn't bring myself to hit the putt firm enough at the last. It was straight into the grain. Something I struggled with most of the week was leaving kind of longer putts short and got me a bit at the end there. Like I said, the last two holes, really pleased with that.
“I knew going out today, obviously need a good round. You're in contention and conditions were favourable again. The wind was a little bit less than yesterday. Greens seemed a little bit softer, as well, which helps approach shots. All day I drove the ball as good as I possibly could. Iron play wasn't quite as sharp as it could have been the front nine but absolutely no complaints. I think it was three or four under the back nine, so really pleased with that.
“It's just nice to be kind of pretty much 100 percent fit again. You know, like I said, driving the ball as well as I have done, if I keep the driving stats up, short game is pretty good. I think we can have a good, strong finish to the season.”
Graeme Storm (67, -15)
“To put four starts in the 60s and to finish near the top of the leaderboard is really rewarding for kind of the setback and the hard work that I've put in away from the golf.
“It's been absolutely fantastic. When we come to Portugal, this is the sort of weather that we expect. The tournament has been really unlucky over the last so many years, so it's nice to see they have had nice weather and it's been a great event.”
Eddie Pepperell (68, -15)
“I played steady. I had my chances. I stuck to my game plan. Yeah, if I had holed a couple of putts, easily could have shot five under par and end up finishing second. You know, it's a good week, another good week. I'm playing well. Hardly any negatives to be quite honest with you and a lot of positives.
“I actually had kind of a similar round last week in Holland. I was getting a bit frustrated at the start of the final day. Felt like I was making the putts I could have and I ended up - stayed very patient. Ended up making a few birdies to finish with and had a good finish. That helped, and Nick was great, again. Reminded me to stay patient and there's going to be lots of birdie opportunities to come. Unfortunately they didn't drop for me today but I'm generally pleased.
“I'll be in next week now. I'll play the Dunhill Links. There's lots of golf to play in climates and courses I'm more suited to with my body fat. Yeah, I've got lots to look forward to.”
