Record prize money of €3.6 million, an increase of €300,000 from 2005, has been announced for the Deutsche Bank Players’ Championship of Europe, with the popular double Major Champion, John Daly of America, among the first players to confirm their participation at Gut Kaden.
Daly, who finished tied third behind Swede Niclas Fasth last year, will be making his fourth appearance in the event. And with a prize fund of €3.6 million – the highest prize money ever to have been offered at a German sporting event – and €600,000 available for the winner, the spectators are sure to be treated to an enthralling week watching the game’s elite.
