I gave it a go. Made a few silly mistakes but generally it was good stuff. It was a tough day. The hardest bit was I was boiling hot inside, it was cold outside and my short is soaked, not good for my chest.
It was a good week. Lots of good positive thinking. My mental approach was the best thing. I have just got to fine tune a few shots here and there. But my short game was good, putting was good. It was a good week.
I don’t know about the US Open qualifying yet. I will have to see when I get there. I was going over there anyway.
I’ve felt this comfortable since the start of the year. I had a good start to the year. I prepared myself well and have been playing nicely.
In terms of all your successes how important is maintaining your Major record?
It was but now it ain’t. Everything comes to an end. If I haven’t made it and have to qualify then I should go and qualify. Simple as that. I will make a decision tomorrow.
I got an invitation to the US PGA which is nice.
Can you do anything to move the process along?
No nothing I can do.
Looking forward to going back to Muirfield?
I am looking forward to that. That will be my next goal. If I don’t make this I will head off and have a break and start preparing for that one.
