The Højgaard twins shone brightly and Perez's putter was hot once again on day two of the 2023 Ras Al Khaimah Championship.

Here is everything you need to know from Friday's second round at Al Hamra Golf Club.

Højgaards have history in their sights

Rasmus Højgaard posted a second-round 67 to share the lead with David Law and Adrian Meronk heading into the weekend. Victory on Sunday would see him emulate his twin Nicolai, who won last year, and send the pair into the record books as the first brothers to win the same tournament on the DP World Tour. Rasmus hit the front after making six birdies in his first 14 holes on Friday but after his tee-shot at the 16th went into a bush, he surrendered a bogey there. He then got a lucky break at the 17th as his drive clattered a light and bounced back into play!

Defending champion produces fireworks at the last

Last year's winner Nicolai Højgaard was not feeling well on Friday but he was still able to pull off one of the shots of the day at the last. He launched his approach into the long 18th to ten feet, almost holing it for an albatross.

                  Perez's perfect putting

We've become used to seeing Victor Perez holing clutch putts from long range and he was at it again on Friday at the 11th, bouncing back from a bogey on the previous hole with a birdie from 40 feet on the par three.

                  Law's big finish

Scotland's Law made steady progress on the front nine on day two, picking up shots at the third, fifth and eighth to turn in 33. After a quiet spell around the turn which yielded five straight pars, his round sprang into life when he found the 14th green in two before holing his eagle putt from seven feet. He then rolled in three consecutive long-range birdie putts at the 15th, 16th and 17th to earn a share of the lead on 11 under par.
