Career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy will return to Wentworth Club for the 2026 BMW PGA Championship from September 17-20, with tickets for the Festival of Golf now on sale after a record attendance last season at etg.golf/BMW2026Tickets.
The World Number Two will arrive at the iconic Surrey venue after a landmark 2025 season in which he won the Masters, lifted the Amgen Irish Open trophy for the second time, added two further titles on the PGA TOUR, and helped Europe earn their first away win in the Ryder Cup since 2012 at Bethpage Black, New York.
The 2014 BMW PGA Championship winner rounded out the year by being crowned Race to Dubai Champion for a seventh time – and fourth in succession.
The BMW PGA Championship will once again assume a key position as part of the Back 9 and as the third Rolex Series event on the 2026 Race to Dubai, and McIlroy will be aiming to continue his impressive record over the West Course, which includes six further top tens in addition to his 2014 victory, including three runner-up finishes.
“I’ve had some great results at Wentworth in the past, and I always enjoy returning to the BMW PGA Championship,” said the Northern Irishman.
“No doubt the crowds will be out in force once again, and I’m looking forward to the week.”
Taking place just outside Central London, the BMW PGA Championship offers a thrilling week of world-class golf, a star-studded Celebrity Pro-Am, live entertainment on the Showstage, and much more in the atmospheric Spectator Village.
With over 100,000 spectators set to gather for a true Festival of Golf, there are a range of experiences for everyone with ticketing options to match – including General Admission tickets for the Tuesday practice day, Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am and four days of tournament golf, plus the chance to elevate the experience with Treetops presented by Buffalo Trace and Premium Experience options.
BMW Group owners will once again receive preferred parking benefits and there will be a free shuttle service from Virginia Water railway station available to all spectators.
Fans are urged to secure their tickets early to avoid disappointment after a record attendance at last year’s BMW PGA Championship. General admission was completely sold out across Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, whilst Treetops presented by Buffalo Trace (formerly Ticket+) packages sold out on all tournament days.
General Admission, Treetops presented by Buffalo Trace and Premium Experience tickets are available at etg.golf/BMW2026Tickets.
