After earning a £3000 Johnnie Walker Tour Course Record Award with a nine birdie 64 in the first round, Robert Karlsson went into the final round with a two stroke lead. Miguel Angel Jimenez set the clubhouse pace on 279 with five birdies in a homeward 32, and this was equalled by Jarmo Sandelin, Anders Forsbrand and Sam Torrance. But Karlsson stayed out infront and moved clear with a birdie at the 11th.
