Mark James claimed his 19th PGA European Tour title by producing a vintage performance to overhaul third round leader Sam Torrance and parry the thrusts of David Gilford, Robert Karlsson and Alexander Cejka. James notched four birdies in the first six holes, bogeyed the ninth and turned in 33 at nine under. Further birdies at the 11th, 12th, 15th and 17th resulted in a course record 65 and victory from David Gilford who shared the Johnnie Walker Tour Course Record Award by also scoring 65.
