Cheery Londoner Peter Mitchell survived a tense final afternoon to score an exciting one-stroke victory over Sweden's Fredrik Jacobson after the tournament had been reduced to three rounds when an unuasual mixture of low cloud and high winds disrupted the first two days. Mitchell birdied the final hole by hitting a 130-yard approach shot 12in from the pin and said, "It was nice to have been leading the tournament going into the last round and then actually win it. That means a lot to me."
