Adam Hunter celebrated his 11th year as a PGA European Tour Member by gaining his first success when he overcame Darren Clarke in a sudden-death finish at Pehna Longa. Hunter, out in 33 with birdies at the second, sixth and eighth, moved ahead of Clarke with birdie putts of 20 feet and ten feet at the 11th and 13th respectively. Despite dropping shots at the 14th and 16th, another birdie at the 18th secured a play-off place against Clarke, who holed from 12 feet for a two at the 17th. At the first extra hole, Hunter got up and down from a bunker, holing from four feet to win.
