With only two bogeys in 72 holes on the outstanding Loch Lomond Course, Tom Lehman finished 19 under par to leave US Open Champion Ernie Els a distant five shots away in second place. "I'm not sure I can do a whole lot better than that," he said modestly after his stunning win. "To play that well for four days is not something you do very often." Four winners of major championships - Els, Steve Jones, Greg Norman and Payne Stewart - waited in close attendance for Lehman to make a mistake, but he never did.
