Retief Goosen led from start to finish when rain storms battered the National GC course. It took three days to complete the first two rounds, resulting in 36 holes on the final day. Goosen added a pair of 70s to his opening rounds of 64, 67 to win by three strokes from Jamie Spence, who moved up from tied 17th at the halfway stage with scores of 67, 68 on the last day. Raymond Russell, 112th after an opening 75, closed with two 66s to share third place with Darren Clarke, Van Phillips and Martin Gates.
