The Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play is down to the last eight after the morning's action on Saturday at Golf Resort Bad Griesbach.
Here, we take a look at what some of the winners had to say after they advanced from the last 16 in Bavaria.
Chris Paisley (beat Ashun Wu one up)
"It just wasn't really happening for me and then I hit a really good shot into 15 to about three feet and that gave me a bit of confidence and a bit of a sniff of a chance of winning. I managed to birdie the next hole then took advantage of Ashun's bogey on 17 and made a good par on the last. The greens have been fairly soft anyway. I think the one thing I found tricky was because the temperature is so different and the air is a bit heavier it made it a bit harder to get the right club. It's been going a long way the first few days and I was kind of used to that, then with the heavier air and slightly cooler temperatures it was a bit of an adjustment. It held up pretty well considering how much rain there was and how much damage, the course played pretty similar to what it has been."
Robert Rock (beat Florian Fritsch 2 and 1)
"It was a good match in the end. I was three up early on and I was hoping for an early finish but I didn't play well from the tenth for a few holes and Florian played good and hit some great shots. Just relieved to finish, it's a stressful form of golf but I'm playing okay. My driving's not brilliant. All my matches so far I've been maybe a few under par but not a long way under par, so I'm expecting to face that at some point. You try to be confident but it just depends how your partner plays. If he plays great you get beat. I'm going to have to play a little bit better than I have done so far but my putting is in good shape. I'm pleased with that and that gives me hope that I can hole some putts when I need to."
Adrian Otaegui (beat Ashley Chesters 6 and 5)
"I played well again today, didn't drop a shot, didn't make mistakes and made a few birdies. I played well from tee to green so I gave myself chances. Obviously it wasn't Ashley's best day so I just took advantage of it. I feel confident with my game. The course is a bit wet now and we can go for pretty much every pin so that's what I try to do. Yesterday I was on the balcony and the wind just started picking up, it was quite impressive to see. As we saw there were some trees that fell down but I think the greenkeepers did a great job this morning and the course was perfectly playable. I feel well physically so I just keep going this afternoon."
