Defending Masters Tournament champion Scottie Scheffler has once again chosen a taste of home for the most exclusive dinner party in all of golf.
Tradition dictates that the current recipient of the famous Green Jacket gets to choose the menu at the Masters Club Dinner, a meal reserved only for Masters champions and a select few dignitaries at Augusta National and served the Tuesday before the event.
Widely referred to as the Champions Dinner, the event is one of the highlights of Masters week and Scheffler is choosing the menu for the second time in three years, having followed up his 2022 win with another triumph 12 months ago.

While born in New Jersey, American Scheffler moved to Texas when he was a child, going on to attend the University of Texas and he still lives in the Lonestar State, so it is no surprise that Texan dishes dominate the menu for the second time.
In fact, the World Number One has made just two changes from his menu of two years ago, adding Papa Scheff's meatball and ravioli bites to his appetisers and swapping tortilla soup for a Texas-style chilli for his starter.

The Champions Dinner began in 1952 when defending champion Ben Hogan gave a dinner for all previous winners.
He proposed the formation of a Masters Club, limited to only Masters Champions. Honorary memberships were extended to founders Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts and subsequently Bill Lane, Hord Hardin, Jack Stephens, Hootie Johnson, Billy Payne and Fred Riley have been added as honorary members of this most exclusive of clubs.
