Shenzhen International Day Four - What They Said

Bernd Wiesberger won his fourth European Tour title at the Shenzhen International, clinching the victory in a play-off with Tommy Fleetwood after the pair finished on 16 under par.

Here we take a look at what some of the chasing pack had to say after 72 holes in China.

Dylan Frittelli (70, -14)

Pretty boring golf. Made a bunch of pars and a few birdies, but a bit of a struggle on the greens. I think I’ve fared pretty well and happy with the whole week’s performance. It’s my rookie season and it’s great to get a top ten. I’ve had a lot of top 20s in the last few events, so haven’t finished too strong on the last 18, but I did that today. I didn’t play amazing golf, but I held on and did well.

Matthew Southgate (65, -11)

It took a few days to adjust to how far the ball was going and there are quite a few greens which are firm, so sometimes you get bounce and then you don’t get a bounce. I think the first three rounds just helped me gauge the distance a bit better. I hit so many shots to six or seven feet and then from there you’ve got a chance of making birdies.

Fabrizio Zanotti (65, -14)

It felt really good. It was a good round, but it was a shame I couldn’t make some more birdies in the end, but I’m pretty happy. The short putt at 14th was a good one, but maybe I misread it. That putt stopped me a little, but in the end I kept hitting good shots and there are a lot of positives.

Pablo Larrazábal (66, -12)

I had a very fast start. I feel like I probably left three or four out there. All weekend I just played the best golf of my golfing career in the ten years I’ve been here. Shooting 11 under over the weekend and still feeling like I left a lot out there. Playing the way I played this weekend, this is the way I have to play to try and be top 50 in the world. If I keep playing this way for the rest of the year, some trophies are going to come.
