Captains Francesco Molinari and Justin Rose took contrasting approaches as the line-up was announced for Saturday afternoon’s foursomes at the 2025 Team Cup.
Molinari opted to deploy the same five Continental Europe pairings, though in a different order to the morning session.
Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Wallace will once again lead out an otherwise rotated Great Britain & Ireland line-up, this time taking on Rasmus Højgaard and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen.
Thorbjørn Olesen and Niklas Nørgaard, fresh from shooting eight under par in the morning only for Hatton’s 60-foot birdie putt on the 18th to hold them to a half, will face off with in-form GB&I rookies Matthew Jordan and Tom McKibbin.
Antoine Rozner and Matteo Manassero take on Paul Waring and Laurie Canter, both separated for the first time from their respective previous partners as Waring has played both sessions with Jordan and Canter with Jordan Smith.
Matthieu Pavon and Romain Langasque, responsible for both of Continental Europe’s full points so far as their team trails 7-3, face Aaron Rai and Justin Rose.
The “Moliwood” battle continues for the third session in a row as Continental Europe Captain Francesco Molinari and Julien Guerrier anchor their side against Smith and Tommy Fleetwood.
