How does Final Qualifying work?

From April 20 to May 13, thousands of professionals and elite amateurs have begun their bid to qualify for this year's U.S. Open.

109 sites hosted 18-hole Local Qualifying across 46 U.S. states, Canada, and Mexico.

Following that, 13 venues, across three continents, will stage 36-hole Final Qualifying from May 18 to June 8 (often referred to as Golf's Longest Day).

Where is this year’s U.S. Open being held?

The 2026 U.S. Open will be held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club from June 18–21, 2026.
